The Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) is scheduled to run in Changsha from June 12 to 15, 2025. The Changsha Customs Authority announced that as of June 9, 32 batches of exhibits have entered the country and are undergoing customs clearance procedures. These exhibits come from Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, Namibia, and other countries and regions, with a total weight of more than 7,200 kilograms.Over the past few days, exhibits like agricultural products, handicrafts, and industrial manufactured products from several African countries have been applied for customs clearance. According to the records of the Changsha Customs Authority, more than 1,000 kinds of African specialties, including animals and plants and their products, foodstuffs, handicrafts, minerals, musical instruments, and skin care products, will be on display at the expo.The Changsha Customs Authority has set up special windows for customs clearance of inbound exhibits and special channels for customs inspection at all major business sites, providing 24/7 scheduled customs clearance services. It has prioritized customs formalities such as declaration, inspection, sampling, and testing, streamlining the inspection procedures for exhibits. Meanwhile, the authority has also opened preferential channels for inbound attendees. It has collaborated with the customs authorities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other ports to coordinate the customs clearance supervision of personnel and exhibits.The Changsha Customs Authority has carried out 12 facilitation measures to comprehensively guarantee the convenient and efficient customs clearance of inbound and outbound personnel and materials for the expo. The measures cover four major areas, namely service guarantee, policy optimization, procedure simplification, and scientific and technological innovation. In order to further expand the scope of exhibits, the authority has also optimized the approval process for foreign exhibits access, extended the duration of exhibits, and supported exhibition and sales of bonded products.
